Happy Christmas Eve

(click pic for bigger pic)

Not that it's snowing or anything like that. It ain't. Photo is from an earlier December snowfall. And it looks like a green Christmas this year. But that's ok with me. So merry christmas and happy new year and all that kinda stuff, SBLers.

just to be clear here: i consider "christmas" a holiday set aside to honor the birth and life cycle of the various evergreen conifers of the fir tree genus.

just sayin. (and i'm not kidding)

Hope y'all had a good day or two in the midst of all this.

Looks like Jesus had bigger obligations than watching over Tebow. Or showing up with Perry in a Carhart ad.

Besides (A) choosing someone to be thuh Prez'nit and (B) getting thuh Werd out to dumbasses ev'ree-wheres?

Why is it that Patriotism & Religion must always face off in a Winner-Take-All cage match for last refuge of the scoundrel? Because they can be intertwined fer the simple folk.

I'd find it downright refreshing if someone got a shitload of cash in an endorsement deal based on praising Allah or Buddha or Rasta after a sporting event win. Why's it always gotta be J-Boy?

"And God so loved the World, he gave His only Son exclusive rights to all religion-based endorsement deals".

I'm not givin' up pork based on some dusty-assed text from back in the trichinosis (and I'll sell you a tasty goat, my friend!) days. And the 2nd half of a steer ain't bad either.

If there is a God, he or she aughta show up and kick some ass/collect some royalties/disavow the shysters.

"If there is a God . . ."

But I guess there isn't. I wish there was.
