Yesterday afternoon i saw daddy eagle drop a fish into the nest and mommy eagle swooped in and picked it apart and fed it to the little broodies.

ooh, missed that, but now they are getting less adorable. it's 5 days to hatching at the hornsby island nest. and you can watch them swoop down to the shore. i swear i hear seals and walruses. and wood birdies.

The Hornby Island nest is cool. Unfortunately i can't embed it on the page with the other or i would. I looked at the Elsie & Einstein Lake of the Ozarks nest too, to see how they were holding up in these bad storms. Too dark to see much now. Pretty much standing around in the rain earlier. Not like they can go to a diner or something until the storms blow by. Checked out the baby owl cam also and added a link to it on the Eagle Cam page. That one is really funny because they know where the camera is and they spend all their time examining it. And because they are so frickin dorky looking.

Nat Geo or someone else had a nest all set up for birdwatching many years back, and Mom 'n Dad smeared the plexiglas in front of the camera with a substance they had readily available.

Right up there with dolphins cohabitating with a shark up until an imminent dolphin due date.

Then it was hyperspeed body shots to the midsection until their roomie became an ex-shark.
