better than baby bunnies. i though it was a marmot. any rain yet? just had some more here.

groundhogs are a kind of marmot. no rain to speak of. a 5-10 minute downpour here and there but not enough of a deep soaking to do much good.

On and off today, with a tornado watch and more rain scheduled for tonight.

Wife & kids have the goats at county fair (of course), and some genius decided to asphalt right up to the edge of the tent.

The general consensus is that when the pens flood (the middle is already a swamp), we'll pack them back up and go home. Nice job, Fair Board! Did you let your contractor buddies harvest gravel from all the pens, or just the closest one?

What could make an escape even more disgusting tonight, you may ask? Why, the featured entertainment is none other than a certain Mister Nugent.

Send that vortex over his way.

i see they have a vortex warning up for a big area just north of Madison right now (moving east).

oh boy did we get rain. hope there's some left for the north east. ooh, lots of pretty flooding on the local gnews. flooded roads + a sinkhole.

me too. bring it on! Looks like you really got walloped. And looks like the tornado warnings have crossed the lake into Michigan now (headed toward Lansing). I hope we get some good soaking rain from this too but the pattern so far this summer has been a case of the storms drying up and blowing away as soon as they cross into western NY (or they slides away to the north). The forecast is calling for rain, but the forecast has been doing that for weeks and the rain never arrives - aside from the occasional cludburst - but not in any substantial amount. Need at least a whole day of steady-as-it-goes soaking rain. Thirsty. Very thirsty.
