Too bad about that roof.

Been so long at Casa del Mo' that while I've gotten wasted (read "enhanced") enough that I wanted to hear it, but not on the 11.75 watt per channel at 128 Ohms Magnavox.

Bob Seeger refers to the backseat of a '60 Chevy in Night Moves; I am thinking of Somewhere Down the Crazy River by Mr. Robertson.

I take it as a (?)-door sedan minus a trunk lid, rather than the El Camino. Correct?

Nice foliage, too. I bet contacting some of those leaves could give you a taste of the irritation that making this your teenage project car could bring.

not el camino. i was thinking it was something like a 1959 chevy impala because of the cat eyes tail lights.

Somewhere Down the Crazy River

Jeezis PJK, how did you ever remember that. I had to go listen just to pick up the reference.

'Cept this one was parked somewhere down near a pond.

Some things stick with me, farmer. Not anything I can really use; probably means I'm headed towards one of those "oh my GAWD, do we have to hear that 30 year old story, AGAIN?" personalities as I get older and even more decrepit.

I think all 1959 Chevy sedans and the EC had the same profile tail lights (Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala). Not sure when you had to start paying more for 3 on either side, but 1960 was that way.

Rocket/Jet/UFO lighting and body styles sure ruled Detroit back then.

Then they got a little too far out there. Mostly Chrysler with the slanted/stacked headlights (pre-JFK Continentals like the one Neil Young wants made into an electric car did as well).

Gettin' old, but I can drool over women and cars I'll never have.

I'm In Love With My Car by Queen ain't bad either- save the reference by Freddy to his girl.

I could never suspend that much disbelief.

Biscayne, Bel Air, Impala

yup, could be any of those things. one of these days i'll take another look at it and see if there is anything left that might id it better.

From the dept. of fractured fairytales - this headline from telegraph/uk:

[headline] Russian spy 'not some Mata Hari' - The father-in-law of alleged Russian spy Anna Chapman, has defended her, claiming that she was "not some Mata Hari". [/headline]

Yeeks! (or, Shut Up, Dad). Mata Hari, as it turned out, was innocent.
