not good. but i don't think it'll be too bad. i'm more worried about the wind knocking out power for hours and hours and missing the baseball game. but i don't think we're going to get that much rain around here.
not too bad a storm in these parts so far. a little rain (1/2 inch) some gusty winds at times (30-40mph max) but no flooding or trees down or power outages (yay!). Looks like a big-ass sandy mountain of a mess elsewhere.
i see that. big waves on the lakes. what a mess. almost nothing on the tv news about long island. i have family on LI and breezy point where those 80 houses burned down but as far as i know they didn't loose their house. also up the south shore but they were ok too. not sure about my grandparents old house on south oyster bay though. that area was apparently flooded south of merrick road but i haven't seen any pictures of what it was like in there or how bad it was. was hoping i could find some aerial photos but so far haven't seen any anywhere.
No damage in these parts. I was actually hoping a couple of dead trees would get knocked over so that I wouldn't have to knock em over myself (because cutting down big dead trees can be kinda scary and dangerous) but no such luck.
