diporeia shrimp. littel tiny shrimp that live at the bottom of the lake which different kinds of fish feed on. They are disappearing which means less food for the fish and declining fish populations in the lake. Zebra mussles eat the shrimp so there aren't enough left for the fish.

is there smelt on the coasts too?
One of our Republicans thinks $7million is a fair number for cleaning the capitol building, because it smelt.

fabreeze and goo gone. Could buy lots of that and pay private contractors 10% of the estimated cost of their damage estimate.
Hell; $500 grand would be about 12 years pay for me, and I might even be able to come in under no-bid cost projections.
But I'd have to buy a flag pin for the interview, and rent a red tie and dark side power suit.
